Fred Langan is a journalist, novelist and ghostwriter. He has written more than 2,000 long form obituaries for the Toronto Globe & Mail, the National Post and UK Daily Telegraph. Langan worked for the Canadian Broadcasting Company as a financial journalist and for ten years was host of the network's nightly business program - the top-rated business show in Canada. He has also been a correspondent for The Economist Business & Finance sections, for the Daily Telegraph and Christian Science Monitor whilst contributing to the New York Times and International Herald Tribune.

Langan has published two novels, including one on obituaries, The Obit Man, which deals with an obituary-writer in London who discovers an SOE agent who committed a war crime. He has ghostwritten eight books for leading international businessmen, as well as a guide to working and retiring in Belize.

Langan splits his time between Toronto and a village in Quebec's Eastern Townships near the Vermont border.
