Arrange your interview
Your chosen writer will contact you at your convenience to start the process. It may help if you have prepared a bullet-point outline of the many high-points of your life so far. This will give the writer enough information for more detailed inquiries and indeed – if you agree - to interview you by phone, Skype or whatever suits.
Don't panic – our writers are more than happy to just talk. After all they have already famously interviewed some of the leading figures in the world of politics, business, sports and culture.
If you are commissioning the Living Obit as a special surprise for a loved one, a retiring boss or forthcoming anniversary, your chosen writer will contact you to find out everything about the subject.
Review your self
Your writer will then get to work crafting the first draft which will be no less than 1,000 and up to 1,500 words. You will receive this draft for approval and our standard service includes up to two rounds of corrections and amendments. Once you've approved - once you are delighted - our design team will get to work turning your Living Obituary into an elegant poster with specialist letterpress printing. You will also be uploaded onto the fabled Living Obit platform to join the other eclectic, eccentric members of this unique club.
